Drops of Breath/Underwater Dance Performance/Temple Of Poseidon, Sounio, Official Trailer, 2015

Drops of Breath – A World First in Underwater Performance Art
By Apostolia Papadamaki & Sophie Bulbulyan

Drops of Breath is the first underwater dance performance in the world, a groundbreaking creation by Greek choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki and French choreographer Sophie Bulbulyan, born from two years of intensive research and specialized training.

Premiering on September 25th, 2015, beneath the sacred cliffs of Cape Sounio and the ancient Temple of Poseidon, the performance brought together 15 performers, including children and artists with disabilities, in a moving celebration of inclusion, transformation, and human connection with the element of water.

Audiences were invited to experience this pioneering work in three unique ways: scuba diving, snorkeling above the set, or
watching a large coastal projection from the shore.

The project drew international media attention for its innovation, beauty, and powerful message. Today, the creators are preparing to bring Drops of Breath to new waters, continuing their journey of merging dance, nature, and soul.
