D E L O S
Archeological Site Of Delos island, Cyclades, Greece

"D E L O S" is a unique site-specific performance that invites audiences on an inspiring journey along the Sacred Way, exploring Delos’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Temple of Artemis, the Temple of Apollo, and the Lions of Delos. Through a carefully designed route, the performance unveils the hidden narratives of one of Greece’s most mystical archaeological sites.
The Birthplace of Light
Delos—the island of the sun and moon, the birthplace of light—is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its profound historical and spiritual significance.
This site-specific performance, directed and choreographed by Apostolia Papadamaki, invited the audience to connect with Delos’s hidden values, engaging in a harmonious dance of history and mythology aimed at awakening imagination, sensitivity, and unity with cultural heritage, nature, and the self.
For three hours, from sunset to the rising Full Moon, spectators traversed the ancient pathways of Delos, guided by Trifon Koutsourelis's original music score, movement composition, and spoken word that drew inspiration from mythology, sculpture, mathematics, and architecture.
A team of outstanding performers transformed the central archaeological site of Delos into a living canvas of myth and memory.
Spectators became co-creators as they chose their paths among the temples, ruins, and sacred spaces, shaping their own personal "geography" of time and space.
